It appears as if the injury sustained by Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings is not severe, although the team consider him questionable for their Week 13 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Jason LaCanfora said that Forte’s injury ”does not appear to be severe enough to threaten him long-term.” Forte already missed time earlier this season, but this injury is being perceived as far less severe than the one that sidelined him for a few games toward the beginning of the year.
Still, LaCanfora added that Forte’s status for this Sunday’s game against Seattle is still “in question.” Teams do not have to release their injury reports for a few more days, meaning they will see how Forte responds before ruling him in or out of this weekend’s game with the Seahawks, which could have huge playoff implications for both teams.
