The Oakland Raiders will not have Carson Palmer under center this week against the San Diego Chargers in the team’s season finale. Now, the question for the Raiders is who gets the starting nod? Matt Leinart or Terrelle Pryor? No official announcement has been made, but head coach Dennis Allen acknowledged that the two signal callers are splitting reps in practice this week.
Allen told reporters earlier this week that Pryor was not ready to start in the NFL but he has obviously had a change of heart. Why not start Pryor? There is nothing to lose for the Raiders. Why not take a look at Pryor in an entire game situation in order to evaluate where to go with the quarterback situation next season. Matt Leinart will be a free agent after this season after playing for a $700,000 dollar contract this season.
Leinart will likely be moving on next season and did not look very impressive last week in relief of Carson Palmer. He completed 50% of his passes for just 115 yards and a very measly ...

Terrelle Pryor will make his first career start at quarterback for the Oakland Raiders in their season finale in San Diego.
Coach Dennis Allen announced Friday that he is picking Pryor to start Sunday's game in place of the injured Carson Palmer. Pryor and Matt Leinart had been splitting time in practice earlier this week, but Allen decided to go with the younger Pryor.
