The Minnesota Vikings will have to play the Detroit Lions without Percy Harvin today, as the NFL Network’s Ian Rap0port is reporting that Harvin will miss this week’s game after spraining his ankle during last week’s loss against the Seattle Seahawks.
Harvin is clearly one of the only explosive options for the Vikings, so this loss will certainly hurt their already diminishing chances to defeat the Lions.
Taking a player such as Harvin out of the equation will limit what Minnesota can do in both the passing and rushing attack, as he often plays multiple positions on offense. He is also the player who could help in special teams with the return game, so the Vikings will miss Harvin more than perhaps any other player would be missed by their team , as he has become a do-it-all type of star.
