The Philadelphia Eagles have had one of the more disappointing season in 2012, and now they are adding insult to injury. Actually, they may be more accurately adding injury to insult. On Monday Night Football, the Eagles will be forced to turn to a pair of back up players on offense while they prepare to battle the Carolina Panthers.
We already pretty much knew that starting quarterback Michael Vick was unlikely to play after suffering a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys a couple of weeks ago. In fact, Vick may have very well played his final game in an Eagles uniform, as I would expect them to release him shortly after this season.
But while the team expected rookie quarterback Nick Foles to start on Monday night, they were a bit more hopeful that starting running back LeSean McCoy would be able to get the nod against Carolina, although it turns out that his head injury from last week’s loss against the Washington Redskins will cause him to miss this week’s game as well.
