When the New York Giants face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17 of the 2012 NFL season, they will do so with their playoff chances being on life support. The Giants need to not only defeat the Eagles, but need losses from the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings. They also may be preparing to play with Osi Umenyiora on their team for the final time. “Is there a high probability that I am going to be playing somewhere else?” Umenyiora asked on a conference call with reporters, according to ESPN. “I would say there is a high probability, and that is just me being honest. I am not certain of what is going to happen. Anything can happen. “We can get into the playoffs,” Umenyiora continued. “Anything is possible. But it’s a high probability that I’m going to be playing somewhere else and I think everybody knows that. Let’s not kid ourselves.” The defensive end has been at the center of trade talks for the past few seasons, and will be seeking a new contract following this...

Tom Coughlin challenges players

With the slumping Giants facing a must-win game for even a hope at qualifying for the playoffs, head coach Tom Coughlin thinks players need to “resurrect a little bit of pride.”

Tom Coughlin on his team: "A group of outstanding character people"

Tom Coughlin knows this is how it goes, one year you’re the champ, the next you’re the chump.  You can’t win them all, but you can win one for pride. The proud Giants need help to get into the playoffs, a little too much help to realistically sit on a wing of hope. However, Coughlin doesn’t quit and he won’ let his team go under either. “That’s what I talked to our...

Giants to let Tuck walk?

After this years disappointing performance the New York Giants are going to need to make some wholesale changes, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Many complain about the secondary but one of the main problems is that their defensive line has gotten old and bad, very fast and that’s the strength of the defense. Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com suggests that the team could...

Giants CB Prince Amukamara's Season Might Be Over

The New York Giants have not definitively declared him out of Sunday's regular-season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it seems like the season might be over for cornerback Prince Amukamara. #TheLaMorteReport NYG Short Memories @JLaMorte21

The New York Football Giants look like they once again forgot that nothing is handed to you, especially in the NFL! This time it looks to be too late, needing a win against Philly, a Cowboy loss to Wash, Green Bay to beat Minnesota, and the Bears to fall to a Lions team that cannot get out of it’s own way, just to make the playoffs. It was just last season where they were...

Giants Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell Points To Players For Defensive Struggles

New York Giants' defensive coordinator Perry Fewell spoke on Thursday about his team's defensive shortcomings this season. One season after winning the Super Bowl the New York Giants appear to be headed toward missing the playoffs. Giants LB Michael Boley "A Little Bit" Frustrated By Lack Of Action Vs Ravens

For years, Michael Boley has been a mainstay in the Giants defense, one of their most reliable linebackers but on Sunday, he saw a steep decrease in playing time. JPP has a total of 6.5 sacks this season, even though the fans voted him to go to Hawaii and he shouldn't be in this game. Victor Cruz is having a good season with 82 catches for 1040 receiving...
