The NFL just got their wish for a Super Bowl that will surely draw record viewers and equal media attention worldwide. It is almost unbelievable how perfectly this worked out for the league…2 teams from major media markets, the New England Patriots going for an undefeated season and immortality, the New York Giants coming in winning 3 games on the road and looking for another upset.

  • this should be really interesting...I love the patriots there a great time, there record proves it but I'm from NY so I would be showing love for my home team....bring it in for NY (Giants)
  • yeah it'll be good but you gotta go with the pats man !!
  • yup, it might be a good game but the Patriots are going to win...no doubt.
  • good reverse psychology
  • Hell, Brady can wear the boot during the game and probably still win. I think it's going to be an entertaining game. Obviously, the Giants have got something going. They have beaten the top two seeds, but their secondary is very suspect. Maroney might not have the field day he has had the last two games, but I think this is where Moss breaks loose in the playoffs. Should be fun watching him and Burress.
  • Ii see the giants making a game of it for a quarter or 2 then the pats will start to pull away
  • Not so fast....the best QB is not Brady in the playoffs....and Eli isn't wearing a boot.
  • It will be interesting to see what that boot is all about...I dont think it is anything for the PAts to wrry about
  • Eli is probably just going to get the boot.
  • If they could do it would be like Patriots vs. LaBron James in a pie eating celebrity death match.
  • Hell, there wouldn't be any pies left once Wilfork got to them.
  • I wonder if Wilfork pokes his finger in the pies as they cool on the counter at home...lol!...oh yeah, Jacobs and Wilfork were spotted in NYC last night, poking fingers at each other. as the paparazzi had to split squad following the "limping dude" QB
  • Freaking paparazzi. What a joke. Unfortunately, we have too many assholes in American who pay money for those damn magazines and pics. Sad how they can make someone with no talent at all famous. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah........Wilfork probaby does test those pies with him finger before consuming one or more. Jacobs will have his work cut out for him. Pats will try and shut the running game down and make Manning beat them. Not sure how that will fly.
  • The Jints have a fantastic winning streak away. I think the boys have a great chance to win the bowl. The last 4 games Eli's been unstoppable. Look out New England
  • unstoppable? He has played well but I would say he has been unstoppable.
  • NY has shut alot of peope up when they said they wouldn't get past the first round, and they. Then everyone said they would get pass dallas, and what happen everyone??? oh thats rite they did. Then everyone said the giants did good, but there run will be over cause there is no chance against Greenbay, And once again everyone was wrong so dead wrong. Keep doubting us. We feed off of the negativity. BIG BLUE ALL THE WAY!!!!
  • so do we pal, so do we...don't forget that known fact about NE this decade...and no one is doubting you, your the sexy pick to most of nation...hope for a good game...may the best team win
  • With two weeks to study the Giants on film, Belichik is going to have expose every weakness they have.
  • do you know how many media outlets were hyping the Packers-Giants matchup? Did you see the polls nation-wide before the conference title games? Everyone wanted to see Favre vs. Brady, Packers vs. Patriots? ESPN said, concerning a possible Packers-Patriots matchup, "Do you know anyone, who knows anyone, who knows anyone who wouldn't watch that game?"
Sure, Giants-Pats will draw viewers, and could be interesting. But they've met before, GB has a much larger fan base than the Giants, and nearly 80 percent of the country, on virtually every nation-wide sports poll, wanted GB-NE.
The NFL could be happier. When the Giants kicked the field goal to win in the NFC title game, the Super Bowl lost some luster. Is is still a big matchup? Yes. But could the NFL be happier? How soon we all forget...
