The Washington Redskins and Robert Griffin III look like they have a bright future ahead of them. In one of the best opening performances by a rookie quarterback, RG3 and the Redskins upset the new Orleans Saints as nine points underdogs.

The upset win in week 1 was one of the more impressive victories and it prompted the online sportsbook oddsmakers to make the Redskins road favorites in week 2.

The opening line for this game posted at SportsBettingOnline has the Redskins listed as 3 point favorites on Sunday. Redskins Overblown Favorites?

This is a perfect example of the public and the odds makers over reacting to the first week of the season.

The Rams played an equally surprising game in week 1 as they played a strong game against the Detroit Lions. The Lions led a last minute comeback to pull out the win, but the Rams showed that they could play great defense against a good offense.

If the Rams could hold Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson down for most of the game, that should be able to match up against the Redskins. The biggest glaring weakness for the Redskins is a porous defense that looked overwhelmed at points. The performance by RG3overshadowed how poorly the defense played.

The Redskins are 1-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 5 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game and a woeful 8-24-3 ATS when playing a team with a losing record. The Rams are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 home games against a team with a winning road record and the underdog is 8-3 ATS in the last eleven meetings.

Jeff Fisher will have his team ready to play at home and the Rams will upset the Redskins in week 2.
