Week 4 was no different than any other wild weekend in the NFL featuring wild finishes, monster performances and the odd shocking score line not to mention a couple of breakthrough performances. Here are your Week 4 NFL Rock Stars!

Brian Hartline – 12 Rec – 253 yards – 1 TD – Who Are You by the Who

And your NFL receiving leader through 4 weeks is………Brian Hartline! The Dolphins WR group considered by many as the worst group in the NFL had 2 WR over 100 yards this week. Hartline broke the all time receiving yards record in Miami which is even more surprising considering he didn’t have Dan Marino throwing him the football. Hartline shred the defense apart getting consistently open including an 80 yard score. His 253 yards were more than anyone named Warfield or Duper or Clayton or Chambers (who held the previous record of 238) ever came down with.

Hartline has certainly opened some eyes in the fantasy world and around the NFL.

Cam Wake – 4.5 sacks

So the Dolphins despite breaking down late in the game to blow another game get their second rock star on the board.  Wake was practically unstoppable. Before the game Wake led the NFL in QB rushes yet was held off the stat sheet with 0 sacks. Wake lost his patience and went out of control getting to Kevin Kolb on virtually every play.

Peyton Manning or the “Sheriff” as Jon Gruden likes to call him looked like his old self this Sunday. Granted it was against the Raiders who could make Tim Tebow look like Dan Marino but Manning got his team back in the groove as the offense was gelling. If it weren’t for a bonehead fumble by Thomas the numbers might have been even better for Peyton.

The Patriots run game – Hungry Like The Wolf by Duran Duran

Because I hate the Patriots I will give them a Duran Duran song but for the first time in a long time it appears the Pats have found a legit run game which could prove to be very helpful down the stretch and in the playoffs. Despite having one of their best linemen in Mankins out, the Pats ran all over the Bills in the second half helping them score 45 second half points.  Both backs were hitting holes and gashing the Bills apparent “all star” defensive line.
