The 4-2 Giants have a golden opportunity to put some distance between them and their division rivals this weekend. They face the 0-6 Miami Dolphins at home while the Redskins, Cowboys and Eagles face tough challenges. Washington has lost three of their last four and now face the high-scoring Bills, who are coming off a bye. If the Giants beat the Dolphins this week, they will move to 5-2.  Should Washington and Dallas both lose, the Giants will have a two-game lead over the other three. From the NFL… Washington (3-3) vs Buffalo (4-2) in Toronto (Sunday, FOX, 4:05 PM ET) The Buffalo Bills return to Canada for a regular-season game for the fourth consecutive year when they host the Redskins at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Murray also impressed after the game

ARLINGTON – DeMarco Murray’s post-game session with the media was almost as impressive as what he did on the field Sunday in the Cowboys’ 34-7 thumping of the winless Rams. Dressed in a gray sports coat, blue shirt and black slacks, the Oklahoma alum hit all the right notes while talking to reporters eager to hear about how he was able to rush for a franchise-record 253 yards...

Cowboys RB Murray not assured of start - yet

Dallas Cowboys rookie running back DeMarco Murray has etched his name in the team's record books. That hasn't guaranteed him a spot in the starting lineup for Sunday's showdown with NFC East rival Philadelphia. One day after Murray rambled for a team-record 253 yards in his first career starts, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said the staff has not even had "those discussions...

Was Murray's Performance A Fluke?

Jon Ritchie used to be an NFL fullback with the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, he spends his days weighing in on topics on ESPN’s “First Take,” or whatever it’s called now--and yesterday, the topic of DeMarco Murray’s record-setting rushing performance against the Rams was brought up. Ritchie, and Troy Aikman’s old pal Skip Bayless, then took turns...

Murray To Get First Career Start Sunday Night

One of the fun little footnotes about DeMarco Murray's record-setting day on Sunday is that he didn't even start the game against the Rams. That honor went to Tashard Choice, who proved useless by fumbling for the second straight game. Well, Jason Garrett's no fool. After seeing Murray hang two bills on the Rams, he's installed him as the starter for Sunday Night...

Smith to Murray: The great ones are ‘consistent’

DALLAS – Emmitt Smith used Twitter to make his first public comment on rookie DeMarco Murray shattering his single-game franchise rushing record. Murray gained 253 yards in Sunday’s 34-7 win over the winless Rams to eclipse the mark of 237 the NFL’s rushing king set on the road against the Eagles in 1993. “In order to be the best, you must be consistent for a long time,...

Tanner Makes Most Of Playing Time Against Rams

Lost to some degree in DeMarco Murray’s record-breaking performance on Sunday, though rightfully so, will be the contributions of Phillip Tanner, the undrafted running back with local ties. A graduate of Kimball High School in Dallas, Tanner finally got a chance to run on Sunday, with Felix Jones out, Tashard Choice suffering from fumble-itis and Murray in need of some rest after...
