San Francisco 49ers receiver Ted Ginn Jr. is not expected to be active for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game versus the New York Giants.Ginn, the Niners’ return specialist, injured his knee in last weekend’s Divisional Round win over the New Orleans Saints and a league source told ProFootballTalk.com that the 49ers don’t expect to have the special teams threat for Sunday. Ginn was also slowed by an ankle injury to end the regular season. On returns, Ginn ranked 12th in the league in total kick return yards, averaging 27.6 yards per kickoff – third most in the NFL – with one touchdown. On punts, the Ohio State product was fourth in average yards per return at 12.7 and scored one punt-return touchdown this season. He caught one ball for 11 yards versus the Saints and has 19 catches for 220 yards and two touchdowns this year.
