Their is nothing this city loves more than a good quarterback controversy, which is exactly what seems to be coming down the road after Vince Young led the Eagles to a game winning touchdown drive in last nights 17-10 victory over the New York Giants.

Not so fast, says Andy Reid.

Reid reassured the media today that when Michael Vick returns from his rib injury he will be this teams starting quarterback. As for when that till be, Reid says he is taking it day to day.

"Michael feels a little bit better with the ribs," Reid said. "If he had to play today, he wouldn’t be able to play."

With Young playing better as the game went on last night and leading the Eagles to the win, you have to think that Vick will be allowed to take his time to come recover fully from his broken ribs. Vick broke two rib's last season against Washington and missed a month before returning.

It is unlikely that he will miss that much time this season, but the chances of him playing on Sunday are not very good.

"I’m not going to put a guy out there if he can’t play," said Reid.

Which means it looks like Young will once again be under center against New England this Sunday.

Other News: Vick was not the only big name Eagle to miss the game as this week, as Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie also was not in uniform for the first time this season. Reid said today that he does not expect DRC to return for "a while", which means that Joselio Hanson will be this teams starting nickle cornerback in the mean time. With how DRC has played this season, that could end up being a good thing........Reid said today that the off-setting penalties that negated DeSean Jackson's 60 yard reception seemed off, and that he would have to look into it.....DeSean Jackson's foot was tender this morning according to Reid. Jackson was at the NovaCare this morning getting treatment.
