Gary Myers of the NYDailyNews says the Cowboys are like the Giants real “little brother”

As if the rivalry couldn’t get anymore heated, NYDailyNews columist, Gary Myers, may have dumped some more fuel on the fire. Myers says in his latest column to forget about the New York Jets, the Dallas Cowboys are the real “little brother” of the New York Giants.

The birth certificate may say the Giants’ little brother are the Jets, but really, it’s the Cowboys Big Blue likes to boss around.

Quite simply, the Giants own the Cowboys and that has to be in the Cowboys’ heads as they prepare for Wednesday’s season opener at MetLife Stadium.

Even Giants wide receiver, Victor Cruz, chimed in with his thoughts on the big brother relationship towards the Cowboys.

“A little bit,” Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz said when asked if the Giants own Dallas. “If we can just extend our play from last year the way we played against them — we got a pretty good beat on what they like to do. We just want to continue to play well, play the same way we’ve been playing and take it from there.”

The trash talking between the two franchises comes as a surprise to no one . Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, has been the instigator in recent years. In 2007, he gave his players two tickets to the NFC Championship game before they even played the Giants, in which coach Coughlin used as motivation for his team. Then more recently, Jerry Jones told fans at a pep rally to come watch the Cowboys kick the Giants’ ass. We should be in for a real treat Wednesday night when the season kicks off between these two teams!
