Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities takes a look at some of the roster decisions that the Minnesota Vikings will have to make in the near future. According to Pelissero, the Vikings are projected to be $12.3 million under the salary cap and could use that money to not only keep some of their free agents, but also find upgrades in the open market. Pelissero writes that RT Phil Loadholt is in a good position to receive an extension and restricted free agents A.J. Jefferson and Marcus Sherels both will likely be tendered at the lowest level and be back next season. Pelissero mentions that there’s a good chance DT Kevin Williams ($7 million) is asked to take a pay cut next season. Both DE Jared Allen ($14.28 million) and CB Antoine Winfield ($7.25 million) could be asked to restructure their current deals. Allen has a staggering cap figure of $16.86 million next season, so even though the Vikings have cap space to work with, there’s still a chance he could be approached regarding a restructured agreement that would reduce that number. TE John Carlson was one of the worst offseason signings last year and although the Vikings would take $4 million cap hit to release him, they could get out of his deal without owing him the remaining salaries. WR Michael Jenkins could also be on the outs in Minnesota.   The post Offseason Roster For The Vikings To Consider appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
