FORMER WASHINGTON STATE coach Bill Doba told CF.C on Tuesday that punter Kyle Basler will be inducted into the Holiday Bowl Hall of Fame on July 31 in San Diego, Calif. Basler placed four punts inside the 5-yard line and a fifth inside the 13-yard line during the Cougars’ 28-20 win over then-No. 5 Texas in the 2003 Holiday Bowl. He was named the game’s Defensive MVP.
