The Bears effectively said goodbye to Olin Kreutz on Sunday when they signed center Chris Spencer after refusing to budge on what they said would be their best offer to Kreutz. A decision that now has Kreutz reportedly considering retirement. Or has him considering a play to get San Francisco to increase their offer to him since he no longer has the Bears around for them to bid against. Who knows? We'll have to wait and see. Either way, what we've learned since Kreutz was shown the door is that he was not only the leader of the Bears locker room, but the greatest leader in the history of the entire world. It's possible that without Kreutz around, players won't even remember how to put on pads, or which cleat goes on which foot. Read rest of post
