EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon Ducks are getting ready to play in the team’s 26th bowl game in the school’s history when they travel to Pasadena, Calif. to play in the Rose Bowl against the Wisconsin Badgers, champions of the Big-10 conference, on Jan. 2. Oregon has not had a great history in its appearances in the post-season — only winning nine of the first 25 bowl games they have taken part in. They are entering the Rose Bowl with two straight loses in BCS Bowl Games in the last two years after losing to Ohio State in the 2010 Rose Bowl and last season in the BCS Championship Game against Auburn and Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton. There have been five monumental bowl games for the Ducks program over the school’s football history and some include victories in the Rose Bowl, Holiday Bowl and Fiesta Bowl.
