If Nick Collins is unable to return from a neck injury, Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers might consider asking cornerback Charles Woodson to play safety. But that is not a given because Capers thinks moving Woodson out of a corner position would allow the opposition to take advantage of matchups against Sam Shields, the cornerback who would replace Woodson outside. That's why, he said, he didn't strongly consider playing Woodson there instead of Charlie Peprah after Collins was lost for the season. "Then you have to decide who you put in outside," Capers said of replacing Woodson at corner. "One thing about Charles out there at corner, people if they're going to try to run the ball out there, they're always going to try to crack (on the linebacker) and make that corner try to tackle. It doesn't take long for people to say, 'OK, who are we going to make tackle?' We don't worry about Charles."

Packers Chick Blames Sparkles On Her Nails For Green Bay Loss
Pull yourself together, Double Chin. If anyone should be pissed that the Packers were knocked out in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, it should be this guy who spent $250 on Packers stock so I’d be legitimately on the bandwagon. You…are just ridiculous thinking that those sparkles on your nails cost the Packers a trip to the NFC Championship.

2011 Packers Defense: Where Does The Buck Stop?
I have been watching a lot of football these past two weekends, and I think the only NFL game I didn’t watch at least part of was Denver vs. New England. (Really, was there a point to seeing that one?) And while I’ve cached away a lot of observations, there are a couple big things that have stuck with me. The most impressionable of these, I believe, was the way the San Francisco...
Miss America asks Aaron Rodgers to call her
After the Green Bay Packers came up short on Sunday, the state of Wisconsin may be feeling like a bunch of losers. But never fear, cheeseheads. Though the Packers couldn't win a playoff game the season after winning the Super Bowl, Miss Wisconsin did come through for you. Kenosha's own Laura Kaeppeler was crowned Miss America on Saturday night.

This fan’s choice of nail polish is why the Packers lost (VIDEO)
You know those crazy-superstitious sports fans who insist that their gameday routine and attire somehow impacts the success or failure of their favorite team? Well, sometimes they’re right.
Poor Casey here – a die-hard Packers fan – apparently let her “friend” convince her to apply sparkles to her nails and don a Clay Matthews jersey on Sunday instead of her normally-preferred...

While watching Sunday’s Divisional Round Playoff game between the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers, I felt like I was channeling my inner Vince Lombardi, screaming “what the hell’s going on out here!?” at the television until about the midway point of the fourth quarter. Scout: Matt Flynn’s ‘A Slam Dunk’
I’m a fan of the Examiner’s John Keim and his weekly Redskins Report newsletter. (Subscribe!) Last week’s email was especially awesome as he spoke with two scouts about Green Bay backup quarterback Matt Flynn, who’s all the rage with Redskins prognosticators these days.
Here are some choice excerpts to make you all starry-eyed:
