The good news for the Green Bay Packers in their 35-10 preseason loss to Cleveland on Thursday night was that the team didn't suffer any significant injuries. But coach Mike McCarthy still had some significant updates to the team's lengthy injury list when he addressed reporters Friday afternoon. Two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Greg Jennings, who has been sidelined since suffering a concussion in the team's Aug. 3 Family Night scrimmage, could practice Sunday after following the league's protocol for returning to the field following a head injury. Linebacker Desmond Bishop, the Packers' leading tackler in 2011 who suffered a severe hamstring injury in the team's preseason opener, had surgery Friday morning. Bishop could miss the season with the injury, and McCarthy didn't offer any further updates on his condition other than to say he is "doing well" and that the team has not yet decided whether to place him on injured reserve. Jennings' return will be welcomed by a Packers offense that has struggled in its first two preseason games. With he and several other starters missing, the first-string unit that shone so bright in the team's 15-1 2011 regular season has been plagued by mistakes and fumbles. In six drives over two games, the Packers' starters have produced seven points and three turnovers.

Packers couple has odd customized jerseys

Well, I will give them this: they are definitely clever. Jennings: This was not a minor concussion

McCarthy preaching ball security after loss

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Preseason or not, NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers' first-team offense has hardly looked like the group that led the NFL in scoring last season. In six drives so far through two games, including the Packers' 35-10 loss Thursday night at home to the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay's starters have produced only seven total points with one interception...

Alex Green Didn’t Separate Himself

It was only 4 carries Juan… Alex Green got the start with both Cedric Benson and James Starks inactive against the Browns.  He did run for 16 yards on 4 carries and was in on just about ever offensive snap.  Green is a perfect fit for the Packers spread attack as he played in a similar system in Hawaii.  It’s hard to jump off the page with only 4 carries, but this is still...

Running game, defense continue to struggle

GREEN BAY, Wis. If this were a regular-season game, it's difficult to imagine that the Green Bay Packers would lose at home to the Cleveland Browns, 35-10. But as the preseason continues and coach Mike McCarthy gives extended looks to his second- and third-string players, the Packers are less concerned with wins and more concerned with finding out who will fill out their 53...
