From Los That Sports Blog:

A slew of words is not required for this post as the title (and picture) says it all. With the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers meeting President Obama Friday, linebacker Desmond Bishop forgot one minor detail -- his identification. Tweeted Bishop:

Wow. At least he’s looking at the blunder from a glass half-full perspective instead of boo-hooing about it. Better luck next time, Des. (I won’t insult Bishop much because he’s a lot bigger and faster than I am and is from California and could find me. As you were).

  • funny how the dems dont wont id checks in arizona but require one to meet the prez. funny
  • This is crazy. Because of his I.D. OBAMA is nuts. He is a Packer, the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. It is good thing he was not at the border, he would have been detained.
  • How is that funny? Two entirely different things...
  • So we have a team that won it all meeting a president who is giving away all. Now only if he could have some of thier attitude rub off on him. And should have given him a loser in one jersey.
So do not feel bad, I would not meet him even if given a invite. It's not the terrorist I am worried about but him and his followers who are destroying us one step at a time. The slow death.
  • You should have been concerned about imbecile that folks like you elected twice, who put us in this predicament. Wake up! Its obvious that President Obama inherited a mess that will take many years to rectify. Obama isn't the problem. Its those who think like you.
  • Ya sure clown, keep beating that broken drum. Obama is a DISASTER - a MESS - a FAILURE. I'd wouldn't want to meet that pos - under any circumstances.
  • Keep drinking the kool aid. To bad you can't think for yourself. Just go cash another check from the government and enjoy that next beer.
  • Lennyp, I guess all You Obama lovers will be saying that till it's over. Blame it on the guy before Him. Let Me tell You something pal, it's time yall stood up and took Your medecine. Obama was in the senate when the last president was in office, and was voting for the budget that the majority democratic congress put in front of the majority democratic senate. Sooo basically He created His own mess, and has managed to make it much worse. Get over it, it's not Your fault, everyone makes mistakes, usually not of this magnitude though!
  • @lennyp Well said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Wow! It's funny to see a sports article turn into a political debate. Red & Jean, the "Dems" or "Obama" aren't responsible for security at the White House, the primary agency is the Secret Service so your statements don't make any sence! TBenton & James, what is the president giving away and how is he a disaster, or failure? I do agree that he failed the country by trying to compromise with a party or members of a party who is only interested in his demise!! jbstone, don't most presidents inherit the previous president's and congress' issues? With Borders going out of business sale I suggest some of you Obama haters pick up some basic economic books that are free from political views. Facts are facts, both republicans and democratics leaders are responsible for the cureent condition of our country mainly due to the lack of regulation in our financial system that caused a collapse. Then Bush decided to start two wars and lower taxes for corporations & individuals at the top tax bracket. Keep in mind he had a SURPLUS when he took office. So politics aside its safe to say that some economic policies from the Clinton administration and actions from the Bush administration is why the country is in a decline. Do yourself a favor, write down the policies/actions from the Bush aministration that you think/know has harmed our country and do the same for Obama. If you have a basic understanding of politics and economics the Bush list should be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy longer!!
  • Well, kb1111, try going back just a bit further to the Clintista regime. He was the one who ultimatley signed the FREE Trade agreement, that gave the green light to the job exporting business. Then you can follow the rest of your story.
  • Think of our country as a football team playing in the stadium. Would the owners allow thousands of people to sneak into the stadium w/o paying, then be allowed to eat and drink at the concession stands for free. It's no way to stay in business or to run a country. Obama ran on the hope and change bannert. He said he had the answers and all he has done in put us so far the hole more than all the other presidents combined. How's that hopey/changey thing working for you ?
  • I like your analogy xp, it's an excellent example of what's really going on! The same owners you're referring to are in multi-billion dollar businesses, but they pay far less in taxes as a percentage of income then most citizens, that's not a way to run a business or country!! I don't believe taxing is the answer to every financial problem and I definitely don't hate on the rich but having a fair tax system is a start to financial security. If you beleive any politician has all the answers then that's another story!! Do a little reading on the deficit and you'll see that your statement in regards to being in the whole isn't true. Pay special attention to the debt under Reagan as compared to Obama!!
