The Green Bay Packers have a bevy of contract decisions to sort through this offseason. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, linebacker Clay Matthews and nose tackle B.J. Raji all are candidates for lucrative extensions as core players nearing the end of their current deals. As a result, unrestricted free-agent receiver Greg Jennings already has one foot out the door, and tight end Jermichael Finley's standing is in question.
While the Baltimore Ravens' Joe Flacco has designs on becoming the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL this offseason, Rodgers is in no rush to upgrade his scheduled $9.25 million base salary.
"I think everybody is going to see what Joe ends up signing for," Rodgers said Tuesday on his ESPN Wisconsin radio show.
"It kind of is what it is, as far as that goes," Rodgers replied when asked about a potential hometown discount. "The team, when they're ready to talk contract, we'll get there when we get there."
