James Starks couldn't stay on the field and Alex Green failed to impress when given the chance. DuJuan Harris was a godsend, but he lacks the size to be a lead back while Ryan Grant's better days were in 2007. So when the Green Bay Packers begin their 2013 campaign, don't be surprised to see the running back position come full circle - with the needle once again winding up on Cedric Benson. "I think there's a chance for that," Benson said the day after Green Bay's season ended in the NFC divisional playoffs. "At least I sure hope there is. "I've been around a long time, and I know it's a strange league. But I really hope I get another chance here." GM Ted Thompson could finally use the draft to invest properly in a running back. But history says he won't, which could leave the door open for Benson to be the starter in 2013. "I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from teammates and some of the staff," Benson sad. "But they're not the ones that make those decisions. "I don't have a preference to be anywhere else. This is what I know." Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
