Packers sign WR Sederrick Cunningham
Wes Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette announced Monday that the Green Bay Packers have signed street free agent wide receiver Sederrick Cunningham.
Cunningham went undrafted in 2012 after playing his collegiate ball at the University of Furman. There, he split time between receiver and kick returner. He tallied 99 total catches with seven touchdowns to go along with over 1,500 return yards and one touchdown.
Coastal Carolina held a pro day in 2012 at which Cunningham ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds and topped out at 35 inches on his vertical leap.

If you’ve followed any of my past articles you can tell I have a certain infatuation with certain players and their impact for the Packers. Thompson made it apparent as he does every year that the talent that the Cheeseheads would be seeing next season would come from the draft. With less than two weeks until the draft, I decided it was about time I put my two cents in on the players...
Evan Dietrich-Smith ended up back in Green Bay.
When the Packers only offered the original round tender to restricted free agent Evan Dietrich-Smith — as of now, the team’s leading candidate to start at center — I was a little puzzled.
In Dietrich-Smith’s case, “original round” meant any team that wanted to sign him would not have to surrender a draft pick as compensation...
As the 2013 NFL Draft nears, there are a number of players who are ready to take their rightful place on an NFL roster. Then, there are those who we thought would be great, but don’t make the cut.In the drafting process there are all kinds of methods used by teams, some good and some just don’t make sense but I’m going to cover 5 Draft Mistakes NFL Teams Must Avoid that we...
Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly, suspended by the NFL since 2010 until he was recently reinstated, is planning to join the team for offseason conditioning this week, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The Journal Sentinel, citing a source familiar with the situation, says Jolly, 30, could arrive in Green Bay as early as Tuesday to begin workouts, which...
Who might Ted consider moving up for?
Packers general manager Ted Thompson is armed with eight picks in this month’s NFL draft. At this time last year, Thompson had 12 picks in his arsenal, which allowed him to double-dip in the second round to bring Jerel Worthy and Casey Hayward to Green Bay.
Thompson may not have as much ammunition to move up in this year’s draft, but moving...
According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Green Bay Packers and cornerback Sam Shields are talking about getting a long-term done. Shields and the Packers are talking, we’re told, about a long-term deal. For now, nothing is imminent — and definitely not as imminent as the looming long-term contracts that apparently will soon be signed by quarterback Aaron Rodgers and linebacker Clay...
GM Ted Thompson likes to 'window shop' during free agency.
The level headed talent evaluator likes to retain his own talent rather than pay for an unknown entity. In keeping with that mode of operation, he also is adept at letting a player go a year too soon, rather than a year too late.
One facet that often gets overlooked is receiving compensation picks for quality...
Ted Thompson covets his draft picks. Who might he target in a trade-down?
Packers general manager Ted Thompson covets his draft picks like nothing else. He often trades down, gets the player he’s targeting and adds late-round picks in the process.
And at first glance, this draft appears tailor-made for Thompson.
The Packers hold the 26th overall pick in this year’s draft, and...
The Green Bay Packers haven't been too active in free agency, and even they were, the names wouldn't ring any bells. On Monday, the team signed wide receiver Sederrick Cunningham, who was undrafted last year and did not play in the league, reports ProFootballTalk.com. He joins street free agents Matthew Mulligan, Loyce Means and Giorgio Tavecchio as the latest no-name...
It has been weeks and the Green Bay Packers still have yet to announced long-term extensions for two of the team’s best players – linebacker Clay Matthews and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel believes that the team, which very well may have already agreed to deals with the two superstars, were merely waiting until the players were in...
The Green Bay Packers are 66-30 with five playoff appearances spanning the last six seasons, one of which ended with the team hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
But the last two seasons have ended with bad playoff losses, including a 2012 debacle in which second-year San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick shredded the Green and Gold both on the ground and through the air.

Brian Brohm's brief NFL career traversed the league's northernmost outposts, so it's only natural that the former Green Bay Packers quarterback has agreed to sign with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
"I just signed my contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats! I can't wait to get the season started," Brohm, 27, tweeted Tuesday.
Per Greg Aiello, the NFL’s Senior VP of Public Relations, the 2013 NFL schedule will be released at 8pm EDT this Thursday, April 18th. Aiello announced this via Twitter earlier today.
