A message from the Commissioner. Too little too late for Packers fans?

Roger Goodell issued the following statement to NFL fans today regarding the NFL. Is this enough for Packers fans? To NFL Fans: The National Football League is at its best when the focus is on the players and the action on the field, not on labor negotiations. All of us who love the sport appreciate the skills and dedication of the players and coaches. That is why...

Packers OL aims to keep Rodgers upright vs. Saints

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By CHRIS JENKINS AP Sports Writer For all the Green Bay Packers' complaints about a mistake by replacement officials that cost them a game Monday night, they probably wouldn't have been in position to lose on a last-second play if their offensive line had done a better job protecting Aaron Rodgers in the first half. Going into Sunday's...

Clay Matthews admits to having ‘no sympathy’ for the Saints

The struggling New Orleans Saints make the harrowing trip up to Lambeau field to square off against the Packers this Sunday, but they shouldn’t go in expecting sympathy. According to Packers Pro-Bowl linebacker Clay Matthews “They have no sympathy for us and we don’t for them,” That’s a great approach to what’s a must-win game for both teams, as the Packers come...

Packers Playbook (aka Hobbjective Analysis): Week 3 at Seachickens

I’m not going to detail the “innacurate reception” as I’m sure that’s been done to death and frankly I’m tired of seeing it, so I’m going to be analyzing another play that popped out to me.  Overall, there’s nothing special going on on either side of the ball, the Seahawks are playing a vanilla formation and the Packers counter with a vanilla formation.  No crazy...

Matthews: No sympathy for Saints

Clay Matthews says the Saints are like a "wounded dog" coming into Green Bay and that he doesn't feel sorry for them.

A wake up call to the Packers defense

Defense isn’t sexy like offense. Those hard-hitting tackles may feed a masochistic urge for some, but for the most part, it’s not as fun to watch as a spectacular wide receiver catch. Some defensive players get the ink, but invariably the media attention goes to the offense. Any NFL coach knows, however, when it comes to the fourth quarter, you don’t want those last minutes...

GREEN BAY, Wis. Nearly four weeks into the regular season, the Packers have surprisingly become a relatively healthy group. Aside from those two, the other six players on...

Packers TE Jermichael Finley Has Work To Do To Remain In Green Bay

Pro Football Weekly hears the prospect of a long-term future in Green Bay for talented but tempestuous TE Jermichael Finley is not looking good at all unless he very soon starts reaching the heights of top-tier NFL tight ends such as Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski. As it stands, while Finley still has his top-tier moments, he continues to fall far short of the Packers’ expectations...

Ex-Packers FS Nick Collins Refuting Report On His Future

Despite a report from CBSSports.com saying his career is likely over, former Packers safety Nick Collins has no plans of retiring at this time. Collins’ agent, Alan Herman, reportedly told the website’s Jason La Canfora the herniated disk the three-time Pro Bowler suffered last season would likely lead him to retire.
