Panthers Report:
It should be no surprise the Carolina Panthers remain near the bottom of this week’s Power Rankings on RantSports.com after getting crushed 23-6 at home against the Chicago Bears—despite shutting down Todd Collins and the passing game.
Despite holding Collins to just 32 yards and four interceptions, the Bears’ defense had no answers for Matt Forte—who finished the game with 188 yards from the line of scrimmage and two touchdowns. Even with the defense playing some-what decent, the struggles continued once again for a Carolina squad that enters the bye week winless.
The top thing to keep an eye on this week is whether or not John Fox decides to go with Jimmy Clausen or Matt Moore on offense. Either way—it’s tough to see any quarterback succeed considering the limited options the Panthers have at wide receiver. If this team has any shot at winning a few games in 2010, the offense needs to figure out a way to put some points on the board considering Carolina is averaging just 12.4 poin...
