The first two years in Cleveland are not going as planned for Pat Shurmur. His overall record in Cleveland is 4-17 and this season, his Browns team is 0-5 and has the dubious distinction of being the only winless team in the NFL.The missteps this season started almost immediately for Shurmur when he blamed everyone except Brandon Weeden for Weeden’s dismal performance. And now, Shurmur has taking a liking to confront any and all Cleveland media members that are critical of the Browns.According to Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland, Shurmur battling with the media in Cleveland has become “a daily occurrence.” And just like the Browns on the field, Shurmur is losing those battles. In the last week alone, Shurmur has confronted a former Browns coach for critical comments he made on a local radio show; tossed a few F-bombs after a reporter pressed him to go on the record about Trent Richardson’s excused absence at a Browns practice; and then over-reacted to legitimate and fair questions about...

Cleveland Browns Film Room: Third Down Controversy

I’m sure some of you are already tired of this and think it is being beaten to death, but I just read on Twitter that Pat Shurmur is still defending the play saying Jordan Norwood was open in the first read. Anyway, I won’t tell you where I stand on it anymore, but it is worth going through the pictures to discuss the progression. First up is the third and one where Trent Richardson...

Insult to Injury: Shurmur, Browns Losing Battle off of the Field as Well

When he wasn’t interrupting would-be inquiries from the in-attendance media members following his team’s recent 41-27 loss at the hands of the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur was offering responses which floated back and forth between non-answers and downright condescension. Fielding questions regarding his in-game decision making, many of which were...

Cleveland Browns, Trent Richardson is a beast, the defense, LOL

These are the views from the observation deck. From the fan mentality as I watched the game. FUMBLE……Trent Richardson is a Beast, 2 plays for 22 yards and a TD. That’s how you start a football game. Trent called out the Giants defense, and told them that he thought he could run on them. 17 rushes and 81 yards later. I would say so. If it was not for the fact the offense had...

Browns Want To Increase Rookie RB Richardson’s Role…

Browns Want To Increase Rookie RB Richardson’s Role -Browns head coach Pat Shurmur confirmed that the Browns are working with Trent Richardson on a goal of making him a true every-down back. Browns Brandon Weeden Says He Has Never Been Part Of A Losing Team,Now He Is Leading One

Brandon Weeden is getting very pissed off about losing, that is a good thing. The fact that he has never been part of a losing team has gotten under Mr. Weeden’s skin. After all he is the leader of the Cleveland Browns offense, he touches the ball on every play and some of his mistakes have helped the Cleveland Browns to a 0-5 record. Take the fact Brandon Weeden can’t complete...

Browns fan stabs 51-year-old Browns fan father over wager disagreement

Sometimes, tempers flare when you combine NFL football, family and the act of wagering hard-earned money on some aspect related to the outcome of a particular game. And when you add into that already volatile mix being a long-suffering Cleveland Browns fan, well, you have a recipe for disaster; or, at least in this particular [...]

Browns' Haden: I made 'dumb mistake'

The apology came from Joe Haden's heart. He knows he let down the Browns. Speaking for the first time since he was suspended four games by the NFL, Haden acknowledged Monday that he tested positive for the stimulant Adderall, leading him to be banned for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Haden, one of Cleveland's best players, apologized...

“We had about a three minute stretch there before the end of the first half that, just, you know, uh, wow, you can’t do that, you know, against a good football team.
