In what seems to be a growing trend among sports teams, the New England Patriots are making their stadium more "technology friendly". The Patriots have called upon Cellular Specialties, a wireless network company which already serves as the a wireless infrastructure provider for the Pats, to install a 4G LTE network at Gillette Stadium. The new 4G Network will provide fans with faster wireless speeds for web surfing, tweeting and uploading photos to various social networks. Cellular Specialties had already collaboratively designed and deployed a Wi-Fi network for the Patriots and had installed a 3G network for the stadium back in 2010. "The fan-experience is always changing and evolving. Our focus on quality services coupled with a successful track record of providing state-of-the-art wireless networks in a host of large, high density environments puts Cellular Specialties in a very unique position in this space," said Kelley Carr , president of Cellular Specialties' Custom Solutions Group. "We're thrilled to continue our partnership with the Patriots and Gillette Stadium on providing their fans with world-class connectivity." Their work with the Patriots is not Cellular Specialties' only connection to sports, the company has been called upon to design and deploy wireless infrastructures in New Orleans and in Indianapolis for the last two Super Bowls.
