Patriots center Dan Koppen is confused like the rest of us. An astute and educated veteran, he’s heard both sides. And he’s still not sure why the players were locked out by the owners and why the union decertified.
He made his comments in an early-morning interview with SIRIUS NFL Radio’s Howard David and Dan Leberfeld.
“We want to play football,” Koppen said. “The public wants us to play football. The owners want us to play football. So as a player, it’s kind of hard for me to understand why we can’t reach a deal somehow. Whether it was our side, their side, it doesn’t really matter, there is no deal.”
Sad, but true.
