The Patriots weren’t done announcing news related to their beleaguered secondary. Not for tonight anyway.
The team just announced, at this late hour, that safety Josh Barrett has been downgraded to out. The sometime starter has battled a thumb and hamstring injury for the past several weeks. This is another blow to a secondary that has had its share of issues.
In the past few days...
For the final time during a loooooong week, Patriots coach Bill Belichick discussed facing the Steelers and other assorted issues heading into the week. And there are a few, with health news lingering and the Physically Unable to Perform list guys still out there.
But before he did that, there was some apparent big news. Pro Football Talk reported right when Belichick walked up that...
The Patriots have waived 30-year old cornerback Leigh Bodden. Bodden played in 5 games for the Patriots last year and he had 17 tackles and 4 passes defensed. Rapoport noted that it was somewhat humorous in the locker room beforehand...
It has almost become part of NFL lore: You can't beat the Patriots when Bill Belichick has two weeks to prepare for a team.
FOXBORO - When Jerod Mayo fell to the turf in Oakland, clutching his knee, Patriots fans likely all had the same...
The Steelers have been recognized for years as a franchise that takes great pride in the running game; the Patriots have been defined in their modern era as a passing powerhouse directed by future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady. So, what to make of the fact that the Patriots are on track to rank higher than the Steelers in rushing yards per game for the fourth consecutive season?

Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa are friends. Even if you didn't know this previously, you're not that surprised, are you?
