Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski on being the potential hero or goat: “It’s something that you sign up for”

It’d be hard to understate the importance of having a competent kicker come playoff time, especially when you’re the New England Patriots. Twice did Adam Vinatieri kick a game winning field goal in the Super Bowl. His first came in Super Bowl XXXVI to lift the Patriots over the St. Louis Rams and again in Super Bowl XXXVIII, two years later, to left the Patriots over the Carolina Panthers. Kicker Stephen Gostkowski has been solid for the Patriots this year converting on 28 of 33 field goal attempts (that’s 84.8%).  He’s 4 of 4 so far in the playoffs.So does he go through game winning situations in mind? “I just want to play well and I want to win.
