The New England Patriots announced the re-signing of guard Donald Thomas. Signed to a two-year contract in September, Thomas has appeared in four games for the Patriots earlier this season, but was inactive for the three straight weeks before he was waived on Monday so the team could add practice squad safety Ross Ventrone to the 53-man roster. Now that he's cleared waivers, Thomas will take the roster vacated by Tuesday's placement of Ventrone on waivers. The Patriots filled their final practice squad spot with rookie cornerback Josh Victorian.
