New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady left practice early yesterday after being hit on his left knee, the one that caused him to
miss the 2008 season. It appears the Patriots dodged a bullet, as Brady has

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported last night that Brady will be
re-examined this morning, and if all goes well he is likely to return to

The injury occurred during a joint practice with the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers. Defensive end Adrian Clayborn told reporters after the session
that he bull-rushed Patriots offensive tackle Nate Solder, who fell into Brady.
While Brady gave everyone in New England a scare, his early
exit was precautionary. Even if he’s not back at practice today, it doesn’t
sound like he’ll be forced to miss much time as a result of the minor sprain.
