NFL Injury Report:
Tom Brady spoke for the first time since the Patriots pre-season victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on his weekly stint on WEEI's Dennis and Callahan show on Monday 12th August. Three time Super Bowl winner Brady spoke for about 14 minutes about many things. Here are some of the highlights:
About playing in pre-season:
"Anytime I get to play is great for me. Pre-season is great to get out there and play a real game for the first time in seven months; to get your eyes in, get the feet in the right place and the first time you are on the clock for anything with a play clock in a game situation with live refs and real tackling."
Brady commented on the seven hours practice with the Eagles:
"It was very important to practice with those guys to feel out their strengths and weaknesses. However, we do not get to play the Eagles during the regular season, however, this week we play Tampa and then again for real in week three of the season which will be interesting."
How important is it to build upon chemistry with Kendrell Tompkins, Josh Boyce and Aaron Dobson:
"Pre-season is important to get some game action with all players, how you react to a defence actually trying to get the ball off of you so ball security is key. We are doing what Coach [Bill Belichick] thinks we need to do to get ready for Buffalo [Week 1 of season on September 8th]."

While sitting on the bench during last week’s preseason game against the Eagles, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady gave a very creepy look to someone. My guess is that it was a female. I wonder what his wife thinks of this.

Silly people are panicking over the Eagles' new defensive look just 'cause they got gashed on the first two series in their very first preseason game in 2013.
Of course the fact that Tom Brady was the opposing QB and the fact that the Eagles were tackling to the ground for the first time in 2013 didn't seem to register with the critics.
Coach Chip Kelly did set...
A.B. I’m not asking Mallet to lay this guy out, or die trying. I’m not even asking for a full speed block.
But when you’re the backup for Tom Brady and never see the field in anything but preseason games, a little effort and balls goes a long way.
Good thing Blount scored a ridiculous TD because it could have easily gone for a loss with #55 getting that free pass.
OVER/UNDER: 50 receptions (Regular Season)
Prediction- Under (40 interceptions): The new sweetheart of Patriot's nation is Kenbrell Thompkins, who was one of the most impressive players in the Patriot's first preseason game against the Eagles.
Thompkins was on the receiving end of 4 of the 7 total passes Brady threw on the touchdown drive, gaining a total of 23 yards. But...
The Patriots’ first joint practice with the Buccaneers didn’t exactly live up to the intensity of New England’s practices in Philadelphia with the Eagles.
The Patriots’ offense wasn’t firing on all cylinders against the Bucs. There were some drops and inaccurate passes as both teams were dealing with dreary, rainy conditions while playing at less than full speed.
Football was not the only thing afoot at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady held an impromptu family gathering on the field, saying hello to his wife, Gisele Bundchen, and son. (Brady has three kids — son John, son Benjamin and daughter Vivian Lake, and this appears to be Benjamin, who was born in 2009.)

1. Kenbrell Thompkins is my favorite to start at X
Don’t get me wrong, I still very much like Aaron Dobson and I have a ton of faith that he’ll develop into a quality NFL receiver. But at this, point it’s all about Kenbrell Thompkins.
Tom Brady appears to have developed a quick chemistry with the undrafted...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers picked up Darrelle Revis during the off-season, which did not work out in their favor as he tore his ACL during the offseason. But today, the Bucs' were at Gillette for joint practices with the New England Patriots, and Revis, who would of been going up against his former rivals, had some nice things to say about his old nemesis, Tom Brady. According...
