Patriots Gab:
The Pats continued to make tweaks to the roster today, as they opened up a roster spot by releasing former second-round pick WR Chad Jackson Sunday morning.? Jackson was selected by the Patriots 36th overall in the 2006 draft, and the team moved up 16 spots to take him after he fell out of the first round after a solid college career at Florida.? He was a bust from the word go, catching just 13 passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns his rookie season. He tore his ACL during the AFC Championship game, forcing him to miss most of the 2007 season, but came into training camp this year with a shot at the Patriots' No. 3 receiving slot.? The team may look at some of the wide outs around the leauge that became available after cut down day on Saturday.
