TEAMS:
Seattle Seahawks
Matt Flynn was a highly sought after free agent quarterback in 2012, and after feeling teams out, he chose the Seattle Seahawks. Flynn signed a three-year deal worth $19.5 million, with $10 million guaranteed. Flynn was brought in to compete with 2011 starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson and 2012 NFL Draft third round pick Russell Wilson for the starting quarterback position. Wilson eventually won the starting job, leaving Flynn on the sidelines to watch. However, Flynn is still highly regarded and the Seahawks could get some value from an investment they never used. Coach Pete Carroll talked about Flynn and his future with Seattle. “First off, Matt handled himself really well,” Carroll said. “He never accepted it. I never expected him to. I wanted him to fight the whole way. And if it made him grumpy at times or whatever it made him, that was what was going to happen. But he handled it like a real champion kid. He competed in practice on a regular basis,” according to Eric...

Seahawks could look to trade Matt Flynn
Before Russell Wilson came out of nowhere, Matt Flynn was supposed to be the Seahawks' starting quarterback. Before the season started, however, it was Wilson, not Flynn that was named the Seahawks' starting quarterback, and it was without question the right move. Now, however, the Seahawks have a very expensive backup quarterback that could be trade ammunition in the offseason...
Seahawks’ GM Says Team is Open to Trading Matt Flynn
This story shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who watched Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson play this year. After a regular season that saw him throw 26 touchdown passes while leading Seattle to an 11-5 record, Wilson led the Seahawks to a playoff win at Washington and was a couple of Matt Ryan passes away from having his team in the NFC Title Game on Sunday...

Falcons survive Seahawks
This game, the one over the weekend I looked forward to the most, was what I expected. Atlanta benefited from big home field advantage and the Falcons (NFL’s least penalized team) were only penalized for 11 yards. Seahawks looked jetlagged to start and fell behind 20-0 at halftime. Russell Wilson showed a little inexperience at the end of the first half as the Seahawks were unable...
The Weeks Ahead
The Seahawks' season may be over, but that doesn't mean that we've run out of things to talk about around here. First off, I'd like to extend my congratulations to the Falcons and their fans.
