Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was nominated for the FedEx Ground player of the week after he rushed 25 times for 180 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-20 win at Cleveland. Seattle's Julius Jones (19 carries, 117 yards, one touchdown against St. Louis) and New York Jets' Thomas Jones (20 carries, 107 yards, two touchdowns against Houston) are the other finalists for the award. Fans vote for the winner at NFL.com/FedEx. If Peterson wins, FedEx will make a $1,000 donation in his name to the local Safe Kids USA coalition to help fund child and pedestrian safety. Voting ends at 11 a.m. Friday.
