After the Baltimore Ravens shocked the number 1 seeded Broncos in the playoffs, one could only imagine just how bad members of the Broncos were feelings. Riding a wave of momentum, many felt the Broncos were a Super Bowl favorite. Quarterback Peyton Manning had to be especially upset with how the season ended, in what could possibly have been a MVP regular season. Worth thinking about, how do stars get over these tough playoff losses? If you’re Peyton Manning, you go on a hunting trip around the country with your good friend Rockies first baseman Todd Helton. Peyton’s dad Archie manning elaborated on his sons unique way of dealing with the loss to the Denver Post. “He told me he killed, in one day, a duck in Colorado and a deer in Mississippi,” said Archie. “He’s trying to get it out of his system. I don’t know when that happens or how. But when he reflects on it, he’s already said it, it was really a special year.” “At age 36, he truly lives that old theory of, ‘enjoy the journey.’  But along the way, we kid him. He’s bossy. But that’s who he is. I know he won’t quit working. He won’t quit trying to improve.” Everyone has different ways to cope with disappointment. I think it’s interesting to get a look into how Peyton deals with adversity. Hopefully he comes back next season even stronger.
