Former NFL running back Dorsey Levens is creating a documentary called Bell Rung which will highlight violent collisions in the National Football League, a problem that has begun spiraling out of control in recent seasons.
Last year, the NFL announced a potential suspension for helmet-to-helmet hits, and just two months ago, the NFL announced that it will begin fining teams who have a number of players involved in illegal hits.
One of the players in Levens’ film will be Eagles cornerback Ellis Hobbs, who has sustained season-ending neck injuries each of the past two seasons and will likely retire before the 2011 season.
