According to this ranking compiled by Pro Football Focus, Philadelphia Eagles right guard Nick Cole was the worst pass blocking guard in the NFL last season.
Cole participated in 372 snaps last season and earned a pass blocking efficiency of 6.12, which edges out Tyronne Green of the San Diego Chargers for the worst mark in the league.
Cole played in 13 games last season and started seven, six at right guard and one at center. He was mostly a backup but played some at right guard in place of Max Jean-Gilles, who was easily the team’s worst starting offensive lineman last year.
PFF also ranked the league’s centers over the past three seasons. Cole is the second worst pass blocking center since 2008. He played in 1346 total plays and allowed 55 total pressures, for a rating of 3.23.
Only Pittsburgh’s former center Justin Hartwig was worse from 2008 to 2010.
