According to a ranking by ESPN’s NFC East blogger Dan Graziano, Eagles left tackle Jason Peters is the best left tackle in the NFC East. Even though Peters has just three players who he is competing with, they are fairly good competition. Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2010 draft. He will likely be a starter for years to come. Dallas Cowboys left tackle Doug Free was probably the most consistent offensive lineman on the team last season. The 27-year old may move to right tackle in 2011. New York Giants left tackle David Diehl can play multiple positions on the offensive line. He has been a starter since the 2003 season and was voted a Pro Bowler after 2009. And then there’s Peters, who has been selected to four consecutive Pro Bowls, the last two as a member of the Eagles. He is consistently referred to by head coach Andy Reid as the best left tackle in football.
