The Philadelphia Eagles concluded mini-camp on Thursday. The team invited three players to join the team for practices on a tryout basis–WR Raymond Webber, LB Ryan Rau and DE Frank Trotter (no relation to Jeremiah) . It seems that two of the three impressed enough to get a spot on the roster, which now sits at 89 (90 is the maximum). Rau (6-1, 230) was a four-year letterman at Portland State and ranks as the school’s all-time leader in games played. He accumulate287 tackles in his college career, leading the team in each of his final three season. Trotter (6-2, 275) completed his college career at Memphis, where he was third on the school’s all-time list with 36.5 tackles for a loss, including a career-high 16.5 in 2010 (his junior year).  Overall, Trotter started 36 games and amassed 195 tackles and five sacks. He also earned the All-Conference USA honorable mention honors twice. He was signed as an UDFA by the Jaguars this year but was released in early May. Want more Philly Spor...

Without a doubt, Cam Newton‘s rookie season will go down in the record books as one of the best by a rookie QB in the history of the NFL.  However, it is said that it is harder to stay at the top than it is to actually get there, as we have seen many spectacular campaigns being followed by something rather mediocre.  Now that coaches and players have seen what Newton brings to...
