Source: thewizwit.blogspot.com Andy Reid may be causing more harm to his team by allowing the status of his defensive coordinator to be unknown.  Reid has yet to give his customary end-of-season press conference where he will presumably address whether or not Juan Castillo will remain in his current role. The logical reasoning that he hasn’t held his press conference is because he is waiting to see about a potential new defensive coordinator.  If he ends up just sticking with Castillo, he may be indirectly damaging Castillo’s reputation with the players. In a way, Reid is disrespecting Castillo, although I’m sure it’s not with a malicious intent.  However, his silence about the topic infers that he wants a new DC and is waiting to see how things pan out with his preferred replacement(s). In doing what he should be thinking is in the best interest of the football team, he’s also hanging Castillo out to dry. Over the course of this past season, I often sp...

An Open Letter to Andy Reid: Are We As Dumb As We Look?

How Does Andy Reid Do Against Playoff Teams?

Much has been made about whether the Philadelphia Eagles should fire Andy Reid this offseason. The team entered the 2011 season amid expectations to challenge the Green Bay Packers for supremacy in the NFC, and came far short. The Eagles finished 8-8, struggling early and falling victim to the same mistakes that has plagued Reid throughout his 13-year career. The Eagles dealt with...

Vegas Gives Eagles 4th Best 2013 Super Bowl Odds

Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie said that he believes Andy Reid can get the job done next year, and Las Vegas apparently agrees. Even though the 2012 season is not yet over, the odds for next seasons Super Bowl winner is already out. The Eagles came in at 12-1, leaving them tied for 4th. It's easy to understand why- the Eagles have one of the most talented teams in the league, and...

Philadelphia Eagles: Trent Edwards Next in Line for Andy Reid Treatment?

Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images As many may have heard, the Philadelphia Eagles brought in former Bills quarterback Trent Edwards for a workout. There’s nothing imminent as far as signing him, and it doesn’t seem all that exciting.  Edwards is an also-ran quarterback who has never distinguished himself in four seasons and wasn’t even playing football last year. At...

It's Not Too Late To Fire Andy Reid

In case you missed it, the New Orleans Saints hired former Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo to be their defensive coordinator yesterday. Spags, despite his losing tenure in St. Louis, is regarded as one of the finest defensive coaches in the sport. Any number of teams could have used him, but it was the Saints who acted swiftly and decisively, immediately improving their defense...

Why Does Andy Reid Still Have a Job?

The Indianapolis Colts announced the firing of head coach Jim Caldwell yesterday in light of a 2-14 record, minus the talents of Peyton Manning, who has been out all season due to neck surgery. While the Colts’ 2011 season is just plain sad, the firing of Caldwell makes this football fan wonder (yet again) why other head coaches such as the Philadelphia Eagles’ Andy Reid keeps...

Philadelphia Eagles: Spagnuolo Shmagnuolo, Andy Reid Has The Juan

Source: abclocal.go.com Andy Reid is a sinner for allowing Steve Spagnuolo  to become a Saint.  A New Orleans Saint, that is.  On Thursday evening, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported via twitter that Spags has agreed to run the Saints’ defense in 2012. It was around this time last year when every Eagles fan let out a collective “WHAT THE ?!” when Andy Reid and...
