INDIANAPOLIS - JANUARY 24: Wide receiver Pierre Garcon #85 and quarterback Peyton Manning #18 of the Indianapolis Colts celebrate after the Colts defeated the New York Jets 30-17 to win the AFC Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium on January 24, 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Pierre Garcon has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins and will be heading to the nations capital to play with soon to be franchise QB Robert Griffin III.

Garcon will be lining up as the teams number one receiver and after his solid production last year with the garbage the Colts were trotting out at quarterback in an attempt to land Andrew Luck, he should have a career season with Robert Griffin III at the helm.

Fantasy Impact:

Pierre Garcon – Garcon will get a solid boost with his move to Washington and could form quite the duo with RGIII. Garcon will be deployed as the number one receiver and should top 70 receptions and 1,000 yards this season. RGIII is an extremely accurate quarterback and with Garcon acting as the top receiving option, should send plenty of targets his way. Garcon projects as an WR3 with clear-cut WR2 upside for the 2012 season.

Josh Morgan – Morgan will benefit greatly from playing across from Garcon and will almost assuredly put up career numbers across the board. Alex Smith held him back in San Fran but he now has a good QB to get him the ball and will be getting less defensive attention than Garcon which may allow him to shine in a poor man’s Antonio Brown/Victor Cruz role.

Robert Griffin III – RGIII now has a stable of two solid receivers to work with and should have a fine rookie campaign at the helm for the Redskins. Garcon will be the deep threat needed to stretch the field for the run game and to open up coverage for Morgan and any other receivers the team adds, such as Eddie Royal.

Roy Helu – Roy Helu and the run game will benefit greatly from the addition of Garcon to the offense. He can take the top off the opposing D and will force the opposition into double coverage when he streaks down-field. Helu’s receptions per game may decrease slightly mitigating his PPR fantasy appeal, but he seems primed for a 1,000 yard rushing season as an RB2.
