Found March 30, 2013 on SteelerAddicts:
The 2013 NFL Scouting Combine is a distant memory and the Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t really done anything memorable in free agency. Steelers fans looking for something to get excited about this offseason might have to wait until the NFL draft, which begins April 25 Since my last Steeler Addicts mock draft, which came before the combine, the Steelers have been awarded a compensatory sixth-round pick. That gives the Steelers a total of eight selections. The Steelers must fill glaring needs at outside linebacker, running back and wide receiver and add depth at safety, inside linebacker, tight end and quarterback. With so many needs coming off an 8-8 season, this is a pivotal draft for the Steelers franchise. NFL Draft Scout and NFL.com were used as sources in this mock draft. FIRST ROUND (No. 17 overall) Kenny Vaccaro, FS, Texas (6’0”, 214 pounds, Sr.) The Steelers’ need at safety isn’t as urgent as their needs at running back and wide receiver, but Troy Polamalu will be 32 next sea...

Steelers 2013 Mock Draft Database – First Round

I hope to have the 3.0 version of my Pittsburgh Steelers mock draft up sometime Sunday evening, but in the meantime, I thought I would round up all of the mainstream media first round mock drafts for you with links to each of them. Four of the eleven mocks listed have the Steelers selecting Tennessee wide receiver Cordarelle Patterson with the 17th overall selection, while two of...

Steelers Selecting Jarvis Jones At 17th Overall Wouldn’t Be A Smart Decision

It's tiring to continue to see so many mock drafts link Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones to the Pittsburgh Steelers at the 17th overall selection. For starters, the Steelers history when it comes to drafting linebackers in round one isn't overly great. Lawrence Timmons was drafted in 2007 to be an outside guy with flexibility to possibly move inside. Thank God that worked...

The Dallas Cowboys gave quarterback Tony Romo a six-year, $108 million contract extension on Friday that included $55 million in guarantees and a $25 million signing bonus, according to several media reports, and somewhere Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is celebrating the news. So why exactly is Roethlisberger celebrating? For starters, Romo, in my opinion...

The Pittsburgh Steelers met with former New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw this afternoon and according to reports he is currently undergoing a physical. If he passes the physical, which is not a given, the team is expected to make an offer to Bradshaw. The Steelers are in need of a lead back after the loss of Rashard Mendenhall in free agency. NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala...

Former New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw might have left town Thursday following his visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers without a contract, but it doesn't mean that the two sides won't come to terms later down the road.
