The Pittsburgh Steelers have to have some faith in Marcus Gilbert as their left tackle for the 2013 season. If they didn’t they would have brought back Max Starks for another season, but they chose not to do that. Instead the job is there for the taking for Gilbert. Unfortunately, Gilbert’s training camp didn’t get off to a great start, or so it seemed. Following the Steelers conditioning test Gilbert was bent over with pain and then collapsed with teammates attending to him. Eventually he was carted off of the practice field. Luckily, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Gilbert was suffering cramps. Cramps can be caused by many things and are typically due to dehydration, low-potassium levels, or exercising in the heat.
