The Pittsburgh Steelers unveiled the throwback jerseys they’ll be sporting for the upcoming 2012 NFL season, and this time around they went with the 1934 version of their uniforms. The team will be wearing their 80th anniversary throwback uniform for two games, and with any luck, neither of which will be broadcast on national TV. Back in those days the Steelers were known as the Pirates, zeppelins were a popular form of transportation, and sports fashion was an afterthought.
How else do you explain these horrid throwbacks as modeled by Isaac Redman? The stripes are bad enough—unless bumble bees as fashion icons were the thing back in the 30s—but what is up with those tiled numbers? Seriously, these things are a bigger disaster than the Hindenburg.
What, too soon?
Here’s what the Steelers throwback jerseys look from the back…
After looking at these abominations, it’s only fitting the team had Redman model these unis in the crapper, seeing that that’s where they belong.

James Harrison is never shy about sharing his opinion, and the Steelers linebacker did just that.

I frequently visit NFL.com and their stories fuel many of my articles. I like the perspective of how much coverage a league website gives the Steelers. This time, I saw a quick breakdown of the schedule that was just released. I already broke down the opponents, but now we have a concept of timing. The first thing I saw was a week 4 bye week. I will take...
The Steelers unveiled throwback jerseys they will wear this season to celebrate their 80th anniversary (the franchise began playing in the NFL in 1933). The team’s official Twitter account shared photos of running back Isaac Redman modeling the jersey, and I must say, they are hideous. They would definitely be right up there with the Broncos on our list of worst throwback jerseys...
Season 2, Episode 97 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd start of by talking about the recent re-signing of Charlie Batch and what it means go forward. We are both in the opinion that Byron Leftwich will not be far behind him.

This photo, apparently taken in a public restroom at the Steelers' facility, features Isaac Redman sporting the Steelers' latest money-making venture throwback uniform. It's a replica of the 1934 Steelers, a team that went 40 freaking years before not being a laughing stock. We're not sure if these are supposed to look more like bumble bees or cartoon prison uniforms...
Ben said he did his best work in the bathroom T...
The Steelers are ready to play in their 80th season in the NFL and to celebrate they unveiled one of the worst uniforms I have ever seen. Big Ben should feel right at home in what looks like a prison uniform. The shot of Redman standing in the shower must have been Ben’s as well, we all know he does his best work...

The 2011 season ended in a Mile High heartbreak for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tim Tebow and Demaryius Thomas connected on an 80-yard TD play on the first play from scrimmage in OT in a wild-card game to cut short a Steelers’ season far short of expectations.
