When Alan Baxter went undrafted many people were shaking their heads. I was one that couldn’t believe that this kid went undrafted.  Well before the draft was over, Alan’s phone was blowing up. One of those phone calls were the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the rest is history. You might ask yourself, if Alan Baxter was such a great player at Northern Illinois why wasn’t he drafted? Well I talked to several scouts before the NFL draft and even after the draft, and I asked them about Baxter.  One scout for an AFC North team was upset and told me that they dropped the ball on Baxter. This is his quote about Baxter: “Alan Baxter is a very sound pass rusher, he has great moves, but lacks height.
