Plaxico Burress has been ordered by a court to sell one of his homes via auction in order to pay the liens against the property that were the result of a judgment stemming from a 2008 car collision, USA Today reports. Burress reportedly owes $159,000 to a woman whom he rear-ended in a car collision in 2008 when he was still playing for the New York Giants. A judgment was awarded in January to the woman who sued him. So far, Burress has refused to pay up. Last week, it was reported that the wide receiver’s driver’s license was suspended because of his refusal to pay the judgment, so the court has moved to force the sale of his home. Court documents reportedly state that the Virginia Beach home is valued at $460,000. According to USA Today, the property will be sold no more than a week after the fifth advertisement of the sale of the home in a newspaper. This story should not come as a surprise; Burress’ flakiness with such matters was well documented several years ago.
