If Antonio Cromartie thinks Patriots quarterback/golden boy is an asshole then what's wrong with saying it? Likewise, if head coach Rex Ryan wants to call out Peyton Manning or Bill Belichick before a game I happen to think it's great.

Political correctness and spouting cliche after cliche unfortunately has become the norm in sports these days. However, perhaps the tide has turned. In addition to Ryan and Cromartie, LeBron James has taken to Twitter (@kingjames) to gloat about the misfortunes of his former team.

Do I have a problem with it? Absolutely not. If the self-proclaimed King has cast himself as an NBA villain and now seems to really be enjoying the fact that he is hated by the masses, so be it.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if more athletes and coaches said how they really felt instead of falling back on tired cliches? I mean how many time can we hear canned statements like "We're just taking it one game at a time" or "That team is nothing more than the next game on the schedule."

And another thing...if someone does come out and say something outlandish I don't want to hear an apology the next day. Own it and stand behind the comment. Hopefully Cromartie won't apologize and will instead back it up this weekend with a couple of interceptions. The guy is an absolute physical freak and has the ability to impact the final result of the game.

Cromartie and Ryan are a breath of fresh air and I'm one blogger/sports fan who supports them. Anybody else with me?
