Position-by-position breakdown of Super Bowl LII teams

Super Bowl LII is all set with the New England Patriots taking on the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams earned the No. 1 overall seed in their respective conferences, and each one took care of business at home to earn a trip to Minneapolis.

Here's a comparison of how the teams stack up at each position and which team has the edge at every spot.

There's no debate here. Brady is arguably the best quarterback who has ever played the game and had another spectacular year at age 40, leading the NFL in passing yards while throwing 32 touchdowns.

Nick Foles is coming off arguably the best game of his career in the NFC Championship Game vs. Minnesota, but his results have been mixed since taking over for Carson Wentz late in the season. Still, he lost only one game of the five he's started this season, and that was a meaningless Week 17 loss in which he played just a few series.

Acquired during the season from the Dolphins, Ajayi has resurrected his season after a slow start in Miami. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry on 70 carries in seven regular-season games with the Eagles and had 73 rushing yards during the NFC Championship Game.

Dion Lewis has emerged as New England's busiest running back late in the season. The oft-injured back managed to play all 16 games during the regular season, finishing with 896 rushing yards and six scores at five yards per carry. He also had 32 receptions for 214 yards and three receiving scores.

White was the star of Super Bowl LI, but he's struggled to stay healthy this season. Primarily a receiver, he had 56 receptions for 429 yards and three touchdowns.

LeGarrette Blount made his name in New England but now plays for the Eagles. He is Philly's bruising back and had 766 rushing yards and two rushing scores during the regular season. Blount is rarely used as a receiver, but he is a two-time Super Bowl champ with the Patriots who could provide some good experience for the Eagles.

Torrey Smith is a deep threat, but he's struggled to produce over the last two seasons. He had only 36 receptions for 430 yards in his first season with Philly after two years in San Francisco, though Smith did score a touchdown in the NFC Championship.

He was forced to leave early in the AFC Championship Game with a concussion, but the Patriots are hopeful he will be OK with an extra week to rest before the Super Bowl.
