The last time New England started the preseason 3-0 was in 2003, when they went a perfect 4-0 in exhibition play, they also went on to win a Super Bowl that year. The team looks to duplicate these feats, particularly that last one, starting with a showdown against the Lions in the Motor City. New England is 2-5 all time against Detroit in the preseason, including a 34-10 drubbing in the two’s most recent preseason match up – via Patriots.com. Week three of the NFL’s preseason carries the most significance of the four exhibition games. It is a dress rehearsal for when the real season gets underway. Patriots’ Issues With Turnovers Should Not Be Problem After Bill Belichick Took Swift Action Addressing Them

Bill Belichick had some slight of hand under his fully-intact sleeves Thursday night. After Zach Sudfeld, Shane Vereen and Brandon Bolden coughed up the football, the Patriots’ head coach made all three players disappear. Sudfeld and Vereen were not seen again until the fourth quarter, while Bolden stayed on the bench for the remainder of the game. Apparently Tom Brady and Aaron...

Jets Give Players Cards Telling Them How to Answer Media With List of Cliches, Evasions (Photos)

This may have been expected coming from the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick. But the Jets? The Jets have handed out laminated cards to their players, with each side full of handy phrases for when players need to chit-chat with reporters. Kyle Arrington Continues to ‘Expand His Value’ to Patriots Each Year, Bill Belichick Says

FOXBORO, Mass. — With the way Bill Belichick spoke about Kyle Arrington on Tuesday, it’s no wonder the Patriots gave the cornerback a four-year, $16 million contract. That contract came as a surprise to some, especially since Aqib Talib only got one year and $5 million from the team. But it shouldn’t have been a shock. Arrington is a valuable player to the Patriots who...
